The Salt Treated fleet has been busy and the weather has finally started to cooperate a little for a change. Capt. Brian and Hunter ran a trip on the Salt Treated boat and had a busy day with keeping Chris and his group busy catching Cobia. They caught around 10 keeping 2 up to 47 inches for dinner! Great going guys! Ken and I have been busy running trips on the Clock Work also been doing some good work on the Cobia catching in the double digits every trip with many quality f

Virginia Cobia Fishing Report #wideopen
We had good ole David back at with us. He brought a few business friends out with us in high hopes to get them on some great Cobia fishing. It was some first class sight fishing both the conditions and fishing were about as good as it gets. It was literally none stop action fighting fish and casting to others. Id like to add it was a very good class of fish. we kept out limit with the biggest being 47 inches. Then we also released many more up to 51 inches! Thanks aging for t

Slob Cobia in the "Cobia Bowl" tournament 74.1lbs! #stoked
Had a pretty unforgettable weekend that started off with pure chaos and scramble. So, after running trips all week and 5 having some pretty amazing fishing and just catching a Cobia close to 60lbs the day before the tournament to say the least I was stoked and ready to fish. Well, then a little hiccup came up we had a charter booked for the tournament, but with the foul and miserable looking weather forecast we decided to reschedule. So minutes before the captains meeting I w

Flounder and Big Cobia Chesapeake Bay fishing report #fishfry
Catching up on some reports leading up to this (tournament) weekend. This was a very special couple of trip(s) to me. We had my first ever clients back out with us, Dennis and Dale. They've been fishing with me since I first opened the doors to Salt Treated Fishing, so every time we have them back it's real enjoyable. We fished two days back to back. Day one we caught about 10 Flounder, kept 5, with the biggest being 20 inches. Got on a great Cobia bite and caught Cobia until

Flounder and Spadefishing report Chesapeake Bay fishing report! #vairetypack
This weather just won't break for us but we are still fishing. We had Kenneth and group out for a business trip the main goal was to catch Cobia but the conditions really put a damper on that. So a little change of plans we headed to the Cbbt to start the day off Spadefishing. The water was kinda dirty in result the Spadefish bite was a little slower however everyone got to catch their first Spadefish and a couple Triggerfish for bonus. John had the biggest Spade of the day.

Incredible Chesapeake Bay fishing report! #weekendrecap
Ive been terribly slacking on the reports, it's not because the Salt Treated boat(s) haven't been catching its because we're to busy catching! Both Salt Treated boats have been in full swing with having some pretty bang up days. The weather has really played a huge part lately with cloudy, overcast skies we have really had to venture out and make things happen. Captain Brian and Hunter have been killing it with putting some really respectable Cobia and Drum on the deck with o

Virginia charter fishing report! #cobia
Had one of my all time favorite customers back out with us the HALLBERG'S! Couldn't ask for better weather with great fishing for the bonus. We lucked up and fell on the fish early and burned our first nice keeper running out the gate! great fishing caught around 10 Cobia had our limit before lunch time and released some respectable fish. Did have a little heartbreaker at the end of the day and pulled a JUMBO off after fighting it for 10 minutes. Another great day in the book

Big Flounder! Chesapeake Bay charter report. #flatfish
Well the extremely cloudy and overcast skies slowed us down and gave the Cobia a break for a day. We had Mike and his gang from Maryland out with us. So we had to go to plan B. This would be the first time we actually invested almost full day into Flounder fishing in bay for this season we have been extremely busy with some first class Cobia fishing! After finally deciding if we were going to chum for Cobia or go Flounder fishing we got to the Cbbt around 10:00. It was pretty

Chesapeake Bay fishing report Bachelor party style!!
We had an absolute wild crew out with us to do a little bachelor party celebration. Fishing was red hot we got ALOT of shots we had many fish that wouldn't eat and had bad luck with pulling some big fish off. However, we capitalized and had a great trip! We landed 10 Cobia total keeping our limit and releasing the rest. These guys lucked up and even caught many other fish we still don't know what to call them but you'll see in the picture, hopefully they taste good and don't

Captain Brian and Hunter ran "Salt Treated" all weekend and had some bang up trips catching many fish with several double digit days and boating some really solid Cobia up to 58lbs. They released several trophy size fish. Great going guys! On "Clock Work" we had Brant, Sam, and Paw on the boat for 3 days straight just like the other boat we had some really great fishing.
