Solid Cobia’$! #cobiatournament

Trying to catch up! It's been some great fishing to say the least. Weekend recap: Friday, June 1st (Virginia opening Cobia harvest day) we worked on the Salt Treated most of the day and we slipped out to test everything and make sure everything was ready to go for Capt Brian to start rolling this season. In the quick hour trip we landed 3 Cobia; One being a Jumbo!! Great shake down trip! Saturday Hunter, Chris, David, and I fished the First Annual East Coast Cobia Championship. The weather was surprisedly better than what they were calling for. We fished hard and capitalized on the shots we had. Fortunately, our biggest fish placed us 3rd overall and 2nd in the calcutta’s earning us right under $4,000. Sunday we had John and his family. Tough, tough conditions... It was super cloudy conditions making it seem like sight fishingin a closet most of the day. Got a couple very short breaks in the clouds and made it happen!
