Tuna fishing was slow but the Cobia and Black Drum ohh and the booze made up for it😂 fun fishing with good friends never lost my voice by laughing so much in my life, we had a freaking ball. They're are pushing north! If you want a shot at what looks to be a great upcoming Chesapeake Bay season give Salt Treated Fishing a call very limited dates left open for the summer. Yesterday we did a "walk on" trip we had Tyler aka "schoolie", Ross and Austin and the 4th missed his alarm clock. It was simply one of those days thats was meant to be. Again, this type of fishery is very slow, some trips we fish 8 hours for one big bite. However, yesterday it just came together for us. None of the clients have ever caught a big Striper before let alone a citation so this was super special for them and me as well to be apart of it. We kept 4 fish that all made Virginia weight citation size. We weighed in 50, 44.4, 48.7 , 47.6! Pretty incredible day of fishing. These 4 fish harvested will be enjoyed by many families and friends over the holidays. It don't always happen this way. If you like a chance at a true Striped Bass (Rockfish) of a lifeti...
Been a long time since Capt Jorj and I have fished together. We had one of Jorj's best customers Jesse out. We had rubber hooks fish kept pulling off, but thankfully landed 2 out of 5. Both weighed in at Grafton Fishing Supply & Seafood being weight citations and one being Jesse's biggest Va Striper 48 inches 45.8lbs! Called it a early day to beat the rain. Great day with good folks. We have some open dates before season closes give us a shout for a chance at a trophy!
First eeling charter of the year for us. Couldn't ask for better weather. We had two bites and landed one. Billy said "Ive been after a Striper this big for 20 years" glad he could get it. His fish was right at 50 inches (weigh station was closed) We fished hard to get Lee's just didn't get the shot. This type of fishery isn't fast pace by any means... but you have the opportunity to catch a true Striper of a lifetime doing it. We have some open dates from now and end of the year.
Feel like I haven't fished in 10 years.. glad to get the James River Country Club gang out with us yesterday. It didn't come easy! Tough conditions but we scratched out a good catch for them. Congrats on y'all's first Togs. Thanks again!
Great fishing for both Salt Treated boats today🔥 Biggest fish was 60lbs!🐷Good going on yalls catch and thanks again for choosing Salt Treated Fishing to get you on the water. We have some open dates coming up don't miss out! September is a prime time to be fishing let's goo!
Kneeland and his son said the "fish are already wet". Extremely tough sight fishing conditions, but we lucked up on one school of about 15 rays that were holding and it truly was a day maker. Caught 7 Cobia kept our limit. We did Spanish fish for about 30 minutes pulling a couple off, but catching eight. I really wish the storms didn't push us home because we could have really layed the dock out. Thanks again for the continued buisness. Fishing is really good right now and will continue to be just as good going through September! If you're looking for a great day on the Chesapeake Bay give Salt Treated Fishing a call.
A nice change of speed today🔥 Caught plenty and saw a pile. Like fishing in aquarium, pods of Cobia and Drum mixed together. Many doubles, triples and even quad hooked up at one time. Released Cobia up to 51inches, also pulled off one probably 50-55lbs. Thanks again for the continued buisness. Full weekend "recap" coming up. We have open dates and it's wide open! Season goes out September 30th give us a call
Weekend recap! Didn’t keep up with the “live” shingdigs over the weekend but fishing was great for both Salt Treated Boats! Some very solid Cobia around, we’ve landed fish over 55lbs on both boats with the biggest right at 60lbs. Even had Ric Burnley on the boat taking some pictures for an upcoming Cobia Article he’s putting together. However, we did miss the “cover page shot” an absolute stud bolt I would estimate it was at least 80lbs and it just wasn’t meant to be. Also the Spanish fishing is still right on time and has been a great added bonus to topping off our Cobia catches. Great fishing in the Chesapeake Bay and it should stay good through September. If you’re looking for a great day on the water book Salt Treated! #wehavethemeats
Time to catch up on some pictures and catches! Finally seems the bad weather streak has faded a bit. However, prior to this beautiful weather we’ve been grinding and fishing hard and putting some very respectable catches on the dock. The Cobia fishing has been very good many days catching several fish with catching some very solid fish. We’ve had days where we’ve kept fish up to 57lbs and released some up to 60inches and several over 50 inches earning many clients release citations. Also, the Spanish Mackerel fishing is still right on time with great quantity and quality size fish. Thanks for all the continued business to everyone that has recently fished with us we appreciate your business very much. Book Salt Treated Fishing!
